Privacy Policy
Last updated: 14 March 2026
Queer Norwich operates a community notice board at this website. We take your privacy seriously and are committed to protecting your personal data. This policy explains what information we collect, why, and how we handle it.
What we collect
If you sign in: We use Clerk for authentication. When you create an account, Clerk stores your email address, name, and profile picture. We store your Clerk user ID alongside any notices or comments you post so you can manage your own content.
If you don't sign in: You can still post notices and comments as a guest. We store the name you provide and the content you submit. No other personal data is collected from guests.
For everyone: We store your theme preference in your browser (localStorage). If you're signed in, we also save it to our database so it works across devices.
How we use your data
Your data is used solely to operate the community board — displaying notices, comments, and managing your account. We do not sell, share, or transfer your data to third parties for marketing purposes.
Where your data is stored
Content (notices, comments, suggestions) is stored in Supabase, which hosts data in the EU. Authentication data is managed by Clerk. Both services maintain their own privacy and security practices.
Your rights
You can delete your own notices at any time when signed in. To request deletion of all your data, or to exercise any other data rights, contact us through the feedback form on the site.
