Data controller
Queer Norwich is the data controller for information collected through this site. For any data-related requests, contact us via the Feedback link at the bottom of the board.
Lawful basis for processing
We process your data based on legitimate interest (operating a community notice board) and consent (when you choose to post content or create an account).
Data we process
Account holders: Email address, name, and profile picture (stored by Clerk). Clerk user ID, posted notices, comments, suggestions, and theme preference (stored in our database via Supabase).
Guests: The display name you choose and the content of any notices or comments you submit.
Your rights under GDPR
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Rectify inaccurate data
- Request erasure of your data
- Restrict or object to processing
- Data portability
- Withdraw consent at any time

Data retention
Your content remains on the board until you delete it or an admin removes it. Account data is retained as long as your account exists. You can request full deletion at any time.
Third-party processors
Clerk (authentication) — processes email, name, profile picture. See Clerk's privacy policy for details.
Supabase (database hosting, EU region) — stores notices, comments, and user preferences. See Supabase's privacy policy for details.
Complaints
If you're unhappy with how we handle your data, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
